LOVE LIST

Isn't this amazing?!?!
I love this whimsical enchanted-forest dinnerware and mugs.
Designed by Klaus Haapaniemi for iittala, this porcelain
dinnerware takes its name from the Finnish word for "magic."
If I had some extra money floating around, I would love to get a set...
for now, I'm just happy looking at these lovely designs.

from Calypso St. Barth
Love how fun, bright, frivolous and feminine these are!

from the Etsy shop: Whitney Smith
This would be great for some beautiful flowers, or some pens for my office.
She has some amazing pottery and designs on her site.  I'm in love with it all!
There are darling serving plates, bowls, cake stands, and vases.
Here a favorite dessert plate:

West Elm Organization + Storage

I dont know about you, but I have quite a few projects on the TO DO list.
I feel overwhelmed with the many tasks that I want to accomplish in my home.  Organization is always at the top of the list.  I need to go through our toys and get rid of what we are not using; add bins to the closets for a more organized look; and take out the clothes that are too small and get out the storage bags.
I really like the look of the storage baskets and bins at West Elm
Bonus: right now they are having a sale on their storage baskets.

I have canvas storage shelves like these in each of my children's closets.
When we are putting away their clothes, they help choose their outfits for the week.
It helps our mornings to run a little more smoothly.  Also, it is VERY handy when their
daddy is in charge of getting them ready.  If he puts an outfit together, you just never know what you'll get!!!

Beautiful Baby Nurseries

Baby Nurseries, I think, are hard to design.  I don't like a my baby room to be too cutesy.
I love a nursery that can grow with a child and one that is functional.
I also love fun color mixes. For example, the green and orange is so happy and unique for a baby room.
I also love the black, white, and yellow.  How interesting to put stripes on the ceiling.
I love it!

both of these via the late Domino

I love objects in the room that you normally would not use:
the wooden ladder or the greenery above.

Love these Nurseries from Serena and Lily. In fact, I'm in love with all their bedding.

This darling Nursery is found on a new-to-me children site called Kenziepoo.

These three pics are also found via Kenziepoo. I just love the colors used and the fun walls.

Here are a few more pics from my Nursery Love file, however, sadly enough did not keep the links.
I really am trying to be better about that.
Maybe, I'll take some pics of Baby G's Nursery and post those soon.

Alt Summit and New-to-me-Blogs

I've been at the Alt Summit in Salt Lake City these past two days and it was awesome!
I loved learning from and getting to know many other Lifestyle + Design Bloggers.
I can't wait to discover the sites of my new friends and I can't wait to share with you some great new finds!  Here are 4 great blogs and I'll share more next week.

These darling pink mailboxes would be so fun for Valentines!
This is from a fun new-to-me site called No Biggie.  She has the instructions on how to make these at another awesome site called Make and Takes.  Also, on Make and Takes you can learn how to make homemade marshmallows.  Remember those heart shaped marshmallows I posted about here?
Well, this would be a great way to make those!  Yummy and cute.

Do you have the Utah Mama's handbook?
I know there are other states that have these handbooks as well.
This is my go-to book when I need ideas, info, numbers, etc. when I'm planning activities for the kids or family.  I recently discovered that they have an online info site, a newsletter that you can sign-up for, and an online community for moms and families.  I just spent some to time checking out the site and registering for the newsletter.  I'm so excited! It's an awesome resource! This is their explanation of the site:
"Today's Mama provides personal, professional, and parenting resources designed to foster a greater sense of identity, empowerment, and connection for women and mothers everywhere."

Yes! You did read that right! :)
This is a clutch to fit up to 3 size 4 diapers plus a travel wipes case!!
Very convenient for undercover diaper bags (aka purses)
This great tutorial is found on ISLY (I Still Love You)
She has some seriously awesome projects and tutorials and is super talented!
