I've mentioned before that I'm a product junkie. I love trying out the latest and greatest, and love finding new favorites! I have always been a fan of Bobbi Brown products, however, lately I have become a serious fan, especially with these latest products. I'm just saying... these are fabulous!

Martha's Rooms by Color
This neutral room is so inviting with the many soft textures. Only problem...
it would not stay that cozy and clean with my four kids!
Decorating by Color, on Martha Stewart's site, is a fun way to categorize all of the many great interior design photos they have. I think most of them are actually of her different homes!
I love the yellow and gray together. I also love the arrangement of the four different types of framed fabrics.
Not that I would particularly like this room, but I know Mr. D would love this rather large tarpon fish!
I like the two-toned bookshelf . I actually did that in a few of the art nooks in my basement. The wall is yellow and the nooks are almost a burnt orange. I actually really like the way they turned out.
Now that is quite the selection of copper pots! Could I have just one? I don't think she'd even miss it!
Love the green zigzag rug! Where can I find me one of those? Also, love the fun colors.
Adore this iron garden table that is painted an irrepressible orange -- perfect for waking up at the breakfast table with orange juice, cantaloupe, and marmalade. Love the window seats with mocha-colored cushions and piping in another fresh orange.
What a darling bathroom!
I like how they put a chandelier in the bathroom. And lovin' the charcoal gray walls!

Green Smoothie Girl
So, since I have mentioned my sister-in-law, Robyn, I should introduce you to her wealth of knowledge in the health world. She has a website: Green Smoothie Girl, a program called: twelve steps to whole food eathing, and a recently printed book called: The Green Smoothie Diet - The Natural Program for Extraordinary Health.
Congrats Robyn! This is quite the accomplishment! I am always trying to find ways to cook more healthy and to live a more healthy lifestyle and I have learned so much from Robyn. I try to make green smoothies for my family as often as possible, and now after posting this, I am re-committing to it, yet once again!
I won't even attempt to explain all the health tips and information I've received, I'll just let you wander over for a visit and let you check it out yourself! Go Green! :)
Nana's Homemade Granola
I grew up eating this granola, so I'm calling it "Nana's Granola," since that is what my children call my mom. This is a yummy, healthy breakfast that my entire family enjoys. I've taken my mom's recipe, and have added a few things, which I'll explain after the base recipe.
Base recipe:
6 cups Oats (old fashioned)
1 cup coconut flakes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup water
mix ingredients and put in a 9x13 pan. Bake at 300* for 10 minutes. Take out, stir, then bake for 10 more minutes.
My additions:
I play around with this recipe every time I make it.
Some ideas or additions that I have used:
sesame seeds, pecans, almonds, dried blueberries, cherries, apricots, cranberries, and flax seed.
Substitutes:
Lately, I use the organic extra-virgin coconut oil to replace the canola oil. This is super healthy! For an explanation on why coconut oil is healthy, visit my very knowledgeable sister-in-law, Robyn's website: Green Smoothie Girl.
**The coconut oil adds a yummy taste, however, it might be too sweet for some. So, I have also done 1/4 cup canola and 1/4 cup coconut.
Flaxseed: I add ground flaxseed after I bake the granola. Truth be told, I think my family prefers the flax in the granola. It has a very mild, light flavor and adds a hint of a nutty touch. Obviously this is hard to explain, but I think you'll like it. Especially given the important health factors! The seed is prized for its many vitamins and minerals, as well as omega-3 fatty acids, the essential polyunsaturated fats that may reduce the risk of heart disease. Flaxseed and ground flax are also rich in fiber and lignans, hormones thought to inhibit breast and prostate cancers.
You can buy the seeds whole and grind them yourself with a grinder, or buy them already ground (look for "flax meal" on the label). It is important to eat the seed grounded. I used to use the whole seed, but found out that the meal's nutrients are easier for the body to absorb.
I also use flax meal in many other recipes. I add it to my green smoothies, pancakes, french toast, muffins, turkey meatloaf, etc. You can pretty much sneak it into anything, and your family doesn't even know that they are getting such great nutrition! :)

In the Kitchen
Found this "squeal with delight" site that has so many great products! These aprons are so exciting and would make kitchen time so fun! There are so many designs and colors to choose from at Jillie Willie. They also have darling children aprons!
And these? How cool are these?! You put them on as your slippers, and clean the floor as you're running around your house. Smart thinking!

This is NOT fair!
How can you possibley have such darling shoes for little girls and not have big kid sizes? Buying for little girls is too much fun! And my Ashy would sure love a couple pair of these shoes, or at least I would love some for her! :) I'm so lovin' these shoes for little girls! The boy shoes are cute too, but nothing compares to fashion for a little princess. I'm just sayin'....
So, for those of you that have little tiny princesses, you just might like to venture over to the Foxpaws site!
I'm Lovin'
I'm lovin' the Welda Baby Shampoo & Body Wash. Don't get me wrong! I will always be a fan of the Johnson & Johnson baby lotion and the trademark baby smell that comes with it! I still use that too! However, I have experienced a great thing with this new Welda product. Baby-G had crazy cradle cap a couple of months ago. I mean crazy flakes! Almost immediately after trying the Welda Baby Shampoo & Body wash his cradle cap DISAPPEARED! I could totally do a commercial for them! Right now you can print up a coupon to purchase this fabulous product on their website.

Gourmet Doughnuts
A new bakery opened up close to where my daughter takes gymnastics, on 12300 S. 177 W. in Draper, Utah. It is a very lovely store called Beyond Glaze. They make the most incredible and wonderful yummies. I mean, doughnuts are tempting enough, but gourmet doughnuts? Come on! Needless to say, they are a must try! I've never seen doughnuts look so beautiful and inviting! Oh, and here are a few of their flavors: Pineapple Tart, Key Lime Crumble, S'more, Blueberry Bliss, Raspberry Mango, Cookies & Cream, and German Chocolate. I can't decide which is my favorite!
