Why is that the Jack and Lulu Whistle Bag 

I'm seeing at the bottom of the stairs? 

 

While flipping through my blessed magazine, Coastal Living, 

I spotted my favorite canvas bag inconspicuously placed in the beautiful home 

of Julie and Tom Murphy.

Julie happens to be the founder and owner of Jack and Lulu, 

a line that I happen to carry in Modern Palm. 

Julie's home was featured in the December issue of Coastal Living.  They restored a 1785 cottage in Rowayton, Connecticut, and it is sure a charmer. 

I loved seeing what they've done to this darling home. 

While the home now looks more modern and updated, 

they were able to still hold on to the character, charm, and old-fashion 

feel that really makes the home so timeless and welcoming.

 

 

Are you surprised that I'm loving obsessed with these yellow Tolix chairs? 

This bedroom has a lovely antique iron bed with bedposts topped with pineapples. 

Love the symbolism of the pineapple= hospitality.

And how darling are those 1951 prints of birds from a 

book called "All About Your Canary"? Such a unique and personal display.

 

 

Julie, what a beautiful home. I am in love with your style and designs, 

and love having Jack and Lulu items in Modern Palm.

CB2 Happy Family Room

So many things I love about this photo from CB2. The bright, colorful wall gallery;

Round marble coffee table, and the Euro sleek, midnight blue Piazza sofa. 

{The word "piazza" just so happens to be one of my favorite words.  

After returning from a trip to South Carolina, I continually tried to get everyone 

to call our back porch the Piazza... but everyone refused}. Darn. 

Anyway, I'm so loving so many things from CB2 right now.
Especially these utility pendant lamps. Aren't they great?!

Ha! Usually that means that I'm having a baby... but I'm not.  

Well, I guess in a way, this store has become a part of our family. 

I've been working on this retail store for several months, and I'm so very excited that it is 

FINALLY ready to launch.

and think that it is a fabulous representation of the amazing products 

that are found in Modern Palm.  

Why in the world did I create an online store? 

Well, I love finding amazing products, I love home decor, 

I love good prices, I love unique and fresh quality finds,

I love shopping... 

I have always wanted to own my own store...

why not?

I focused on trying to find items that I myself would buy.  

I focused on trying to find earth -friendly/ green and organic products. 

I focused on trying to find items where I could offer great prices,

I focused on some of my very favorite things.
