I've been a bit preoccupied this week...

 I was invited to go on The Daily Dish, which is a local lifestyle morning show.  

I've never been on TV and I was over-the-top NERVOUS.  Funny thing was, 

I was scheduled to go on toward the end of the show, but the person that was

 scheduled to be in the first segment didn't make it there in time, so I had to rush on! 

They didn't even know she wasn't there until they went to commercial and then they realized she wasn't there... so they rushed my table on the set 

and before I knew it I heard: "5,4,3,2,1 and you're on!" 

I was so frazzled and hadn't quite finished setting up, and had No clue where to stand. Ha! What an experience. At the beginning, my voice was all shaky but after a minute 

I think I was able to pull-it-together a bit. Wow! What an experience. 

I was asked to do a segment on Sprucing up you kitchen for Spring...

{More on that later}

I'm glad I did it and ended up having a lot of fun with the gals on the show. 

 I'm so glad I didn't give-in to my fears, and not do it, even though 
I desperately did not want to go on TV. :)  Now, I know more of what to expect 
when I go back. Yes, I did say that I'd do it again... YIKES! :{/:}

Ladies, You're Fabulous!

Emily Henderson: Design Star!

I enjoyed this season of Design Star, however, it took a while for me to find someone that I was rooting for.   Mid-season I finally found my girl to cheer on... Emily. She is this funny, quirky, down-to-earth girl that started to really pull out all the stops and impress!  In the end she, Emily Henderson, won and deservingly so. Her last two designs were fantastically perfect! Did you see? Anyone out there enjoy this season?
Emily was darling when she won. She has this natural likable, genuine personality. Naturally, I had to check out more of this talented designer's portfolio.
She is a stylist, so some of these photos are from some past work she has done as a stylist. Other photos are some of her work from the challenges on the show. Love the balance, color, and texture in each of these photos. Emily's new HGTV show premieres on Sunday and will be called Secrets from a Stylist. Can't wait!

Modern Family: Pidgeon Moment

This has to be one of the funniest pieces of TV I have seen lately... I died laughing! Are you loving Modern Family like I am? For reals. Too funny.

9 by Design Show on Bravo

Bob and Cortney Novogratz of Sixx Design now have their own Bravo show called 9 by Design. The energy, creativity, and talent this couple has is quite impressive.  I'm just amazed at how much they accomplish with seven kids. It premiers Tuesday April 13th, however, I just watched the preview show that I recorded, and it looks like it will be good.  I'm just excited to learn from them.  I loved their design book that came out last year called : Downtown Chic: Designing Your Dream Home: From Wreck to Ravishing.  The have such a fun and practical style.  I always love a good design show!

Are You Ready?

I am soooooo, so, so ready!

In my opinion, one of the great things about summer is the show So You Think You Can Dance! It is basically the only thing on TV worth watching during the summer, and that is just great, because it is BY FAR my favorite show on TV! Seriously! It is the best show out there! It is entertaining, it is inspiring! The talent is crazy-out-of-this-world! I can dream about being the dancer I never was and always wished I were! It is fabulous!
I'm so excited that it is finally coming to the fall schedule. Thank you! Thank you, Fox!
(I am just slightly obsessed!)
