thinkThin Protein Bars & Products

I am such a protein bar lover.
I feel like I'm always in a hurry and always on the go. I try really hard to eat well though, and sometimes it is just hard to stay on course if you're always in a hurry.  That is why I am a protein bar lover.  It is a good thing to eat if I need something fast.  My only problem with protein bars, is finding one that is as nutritious as they claim they are.
I want one that tastes good, low in sugar, low in carbs, high in protein, natural,
and is nutritious.  Is that too much to ask?
I was so excited to find thinkThin a few months back!
The answer to my long hunt for the perfect protein bar.
I'm sharing my find with you, just in case you're a protein bar lover as well,
and you're trying to find one that is exceptionally healthy too.
I met the founder, Lizanne Flasetto, at the EVO conference a few months back.
We discussed my new shop, Modern Palm and her company thinkThin products
She is beautiful, darling, sweet, and amazingly talented!
She created this company because she too was a busy mom,
concerned about health, and saw the need for healthy snacks.
Bonus: these bars are really good! For reals! I love them.
I think I have tried all of the flavors and I love them all!
I just ran out of my supply and realized how much I need them, and then realized I should probably pass on my good find with all of you lovely readers!

Here is what the thinkThin company is all about:

"thinkThin® creates deliciously natural food for consumers who “think about what they eat” while living a full and energetic weight management lifestyle. The thinkThin® brand was born when its founder Lizanne Falsetto recognized an unmet market opportunity to marry the natural and weight management categories.
Fast forward to today and thinkThin®’s flagship protein bar is the no. 1 ranked weight management bar in America, experiencing unprecedented growth as the only natural, 0 grams sugar, high protein weight management bar on the market. The company continues to break ground, launching the industry’s first natural low sugar, high protein nut bar called thinkThin® Crunch.
All thinkThin® products are based on three key nutritional principles:
low to no sugar, high protein, gluten free."

Zoku Quick Pop Maker

Now, where I am currently living it is FREEZING, however, these frozen pops are still looking quite fun.  The idea is you can create your own customized pops, including cream-filled varieties --in as few as seven minutes. All I'm saying is these pops are looking much more appetizing than the normal Otter Pops my kids like. Is that a lemon I see? Kiwi? Ohhhh! Where is the beach right now? Where is the sun? I'm thinking this Zoku Quick Pop Maker would be a fun tradition to add to a family night tradition.

Cannelle et Vanille

You may already have paid a visit to the site Cannell et Vanille, but if you have not... do!  I love dropping in for a visit and enjoying the beautiful photography, photo styling and recipes.  Although I have not tasted her food, I feel like the photos just might taste better than the food, and that rarely happens!  Seriously! Look at how beautiful those pics are! They are bright, refreshing, and yummy. She takes food photography to an entire new level!

Lemons

I love citrus fruits! I love lemons!
Lemons remind me of being surrounded by lemon trees in the Algarve (southern area) when I lived in Portugal. It brings back a lot of memories. I have been on such a lemon kick lately! I always have a lemon in my drink, but I've also been making a healthy-fresh lemonade. To sweeten it I've been using Xylitol or the new sweetener Truvia, and a couple of drops of orange flavored Stevia. It has been a refreshing treat!

Strawberry Jam

One of my favorite things about summertime are the berries! Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries.....all the berries. Yum-O! We have a strawberry patch in the backyard that usually produces a ton of fruit, but this year, due to the cold, we didn't get very much. I still made strawberry-blueberry jam. Ahhhh! Nothing like fresh jam on a yummy slice of sourdough bread. THE BEST! The kids love to go pick the strawberries and eat them silly. Next year, I need to plant more!

Bonne Maman Preserves

So, if you don't like to make jam at home, one of my favorite Preserves are the Bonne Maman that are from France. They are ohhhh so yummy! I can purchase these at my local Wal-mart, but if you can't find them, they are also on Amazon.

  • Bonne Maman is the number one selling line of specialty preserves providing the "Gold Standard" against which all other premium preserves are measured.
  • Bonne Maman products are exported to over 100 countries and are top rated in taste tests.
  • Bonne Maman preserves and jellies are made with no colorings, artificial preservatives, pulps, purees, juices or concentrates.

I wish that I could just go to France, but since that is not on the agenda anytime soon, I guess I'll just have to enjoy little "gifts" from France. Some Apricot Bonne Maman would go great with that baguette sitting on that cute little cafe table. I'll just keep dreaming.

Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas

Here is a yummy dinner recipe that I found on this site. You can use corn tortillas or flour. I used more lime juice and less chili powder than it calls for. It is tasty!

Yummy! Yummy!

One of my favorite homemade sandwiches happens to be another Pioneer Woman specialty recipe. The blend of tomatoes, Dijon, cheese, and Chilies is just marvelous! Mr. D sure enjoys this as well. Just try it and let me know what you think! It just so happens that the "name" of the sandwich is: Pioneer Woman's Favorite Sandwich.

Yogurt-Marmalade Cake

So, I have been experimenting with new recipes lately. My cousin and aunt introduced me to The Pioneer Woman where I have found some tasty food. This last weekend I made the yogurt-marmalade cake. Oh! Wow! So delicious! I'm wanting some right now. The Pioneer Woman does a great job explaining her recipies and taking pictures as she goes. She has a great story too! I love good finds like this!
